In May 2009
UNEP-ROWA hired El-Kholei
to provide the Urban Community of Al-Fayhaa, Lebanon technical assistance on
preparing a rapid assessment and environmental outlook, and to deliver training
on the use of GEO Cities Methodologies for local Yemeni team to prepare the
Environmental Outlook Report for Sana'a, Yemen this year. UNEP-ROWA also used
the services of El-Kholei to train the UNIRWA staff in Jordan, Syria, West Bank
and Gaza on preparing Environmental Outlook report for the refugee camps within
the overall Camp Improvement Programme. The training took place in Amman,
Jordan during April 2009.
In March 2009
El-Kholei signed a contract with the Italian Civil
Protection Department, within the Italian Cabinet of Ministers to serve as the
Mediterranean Co-Director for the Euromed Regional Programme for Prevention,
Preparedness and Response to Natural and Man-made Disasters known as PPRD South
on Civil Protection within the European Neighborhood Policy for three years.
In Feb. 2009
The Social Contract Centre,
a UNDP-Egypt project within the Information and Decision-Support Centre (IDSC)
at Cabinet of Ministers, Egypt, hired El-Kholei to serve as Coordinator of
working group on housing and spatial development.

comprehensive
report. UNDP
sponsors
this
project.

volunteer organizations with necessary support and training.
